Mold Remediation in North Las Vegas, NV

Mold in North Las Vegas rarely shows on an open wall. It grows in the attic above an AC unit, inside the floor under an upstairs washer, or behind baseboards after a slab leak. We find it and take it out.

Attic Air Handlers in Eldorado and Valley Vista

Homes built across Eldorado, Valley Vista and Aliante often have the AC air handler in the attic. In a North Las Vegas summer, that unit runs almost nonstop and makes a steady stream of water. When the condensate line clogs with dust or algae, the pan fills and spills onto the ceiling drywall. Attic insulation soaks it up and stays wet for weeks. By the time a brown ring shows on the ceiling, mold is often growing on the top side. We check the attic with thermal imaging and moisture meters before we open anything below. Clearing the drain line comes first, or the pan will just fill again next week.

Inside the Floor Under an Upstairs Laundry

The second floor laundry rooms common in these tract homes create a space most owners never see. Water from a small washer leak runs into the subfloor and the joists under it. The carpet on top may dry, but the wood below does not. Mold grows there in the dark between the two floors. We cut small openings to confirm what is wet, then build containment with plastic walls and negative air pressure. Moldy wood and drywall come out, the rest is cleaned and treated with 100% organic products, and HEPA air scrubbers run until the job is done. Then we close the floor back up and check the room below for staining.

Baseboards and Tack Strip in Older Block Homes

The single story block homes south of Craig Road sit right on concrete slabs. A slow leak under the slab pushes moisture up into carpet pad, tack strip and the bottom of the walls. Bathrooms and kitchens with older shower valves and sink traps add slow drips of their own. Nothing looks wrong until you smell it, often a musty odor in one corner that never fades. We pull baseboards to see how high the damp has climbed. After removal and drying, our own crew puts the room back together, and we give your carrier a scope written in Xactimate.

If the slab leak is still running, we tell you so a plumber can fix it first.

Mold was the last thing we expected to find after a small leak—but they handled it quickly and professionally. You’d never know it was there.

Questions

Asked in North Las Vegas

Why is my North Las Vegas ceiling stained under the attic?

The most common cause here is an AC condensate line that clogged in the attic. The drain pan overflows onto the drywall and insulation. If it has been wet for more than a couple of days, mold may be growing on the top side where you cannot see it.

Can mold grow between floors in a two story North Las Vegas home?

Yes. An upstairs washer leak can soak the subfloor and joists while the carpet above dries out. Mold then grows in the closed space between floors. We confirm it with moisture meters and small inspection cuts before any larger removal.

Will my North Las Vegas mold come back after you remove it?

Mold returns when the water source is still there. That is why we find and stop the moisture first, whether it is an AC drain, a washer hose or a slab leak. Then we remove the growth, treat the area and dry it fully.
